Dear all,
As we are regularly adding or updating pdfs on the different pages of the GIA Laboratory Bangkok website, I propose to open a new topic here that I will be able to update when we will publish something new.

Today we have put online an update about spinel:
http://www.giathai.net/lab_research_ongoing_VP03.php

and 3 new studies:

- A field report about Vietnam Melo pearls:
http://www.giathai.net/lab_field_reports_VP03.php

- A presentation about a new useful instrument we use to properly polish windows on our reference samples in order to get accurate polarized spectra:
http://www.giathai.net/lab_research_ongoing_VP03.php

- A Lab note about an interesting large naturally colored natural pearl:

Hoping that these pdf will interest you.
All the best,

Hi all,
We updated today the pdf about "The potential for diffusing copper into Tourmaline" by Sudarat Saeseaw with an interesting annex about the unusual coloration found around some tubes in tourmaline from Mozambique.
Here is the link to the GIA Laboratory Bangkok ongoing research page:

Hoping that this will interest you and help,
All the best,

Dear all,
Thanks for this warm welcome!
By the way, you can also find these pdf (and some others from our new York and Carlsbad colleagues) on the main GIA website:
http://www.gia.edu/research-resources/news-from-research/index.html

I will keep you informed of what is going on here at GIA.

All the best,
