I am trying to identify parts of a friend's, late father's, gem collection from the 1930´s to the 1950's in Mexico. Almost half of his collection is tourmaline or elbaite related specimens that were mined in Pala, San Diego County, Ca. (it's about a 6 carat specimen in the photo)

it is vivianite, keep away from light or it will darken and flake apart with time.
