Having been raised in the "Mushroom Captial of the World" that would be a toadstool as it is not edible. Anyway, it is a fantastic specimen.

This is the coolest mushroom of all times!
Sidebar:
I just started a new hobby (yeah like I need another one), raising mushrooms.
Seriously, crimini and portobello.
I'm going to add some buttons to my mushroom farm soon.

This is the Washington DC official website for the American Mushroom Institute that is located in Avondale, PA.

This company is located in Kennett Square, PA ("Mushroom Capital of the World"); they have a museum there. I have a "mushroom" tie for formal occassions (dark brown with light brown mushrooms on it). Enjoy your foray into mushroom culture. When I was a firefighter in that area, one of the worst fires we could go to was for a mushroom soil (compost pile) to catch on fire from the heat generated by the compost.

would it rather be a prehnite and epidote association from Mali?

A scenario like this would be more common:
Prehnite with epidote from the Rob Levinsky Collection

As long as you stay away from the funny-mushrooms...
Isn't it strange that people who already have strange hobbies tend to find another. I am myself a nerd in different areas too. :)

I had a show and tell yesterday with my prehnite mushroom with Si and Ann Fraser.
Final word: prehnite with epidote, most probably from Mali.
