I was sent these pictures of a rock which was found at South Umpqua River in Myrtle Creek, Oregon. I thought I'd post them to get some thoughts from all of you. So, what do you think?
Pockets of drusy like that are a pretty typical feature for jaspers or agates. If you can artfully compose them in a cabochon they're nice, but they're can be a bad sign for the solidity of the rough. The green is rather intriguing, though not unheard of. I would say I'm pretty sure the rock is mostly chalcedony of one sort or other but of course I can't be sure. Just a contextual and educated guess.
