Post subject:  Diamond ?

Found a crystal ape skull and snake turned another way and removed a piece because I seen triangle flares and know this may indicate diamonds. I have only been researching diamonds for 1 year and a half and wanted an opinion from more advanced people than myself... My girlfriend and family have no faith in me and believe I have no idea what I'm saying... They are all experts and never had to read on sentence about anything but know more than I. I would love as many yes or no replies as possible. So if someone else has answered before you , please reply anyway.. Especially if it's a yes. I would love to show a few experts what a lot of real experts that have done research in class , home and in the field have to say . I'm not really worried about the money... just verification. And if its yes , maybe a little humility may start to show itself the next time I find something rare.. Nothing is impossible...
Sinserly humble Jeremiah ...

The crystals you found are very pretty and with a little cleanup would make a lovely shelf specimen.
:| But it is neither an ape skull, nor sprinkled with diamond crystals.

A junk jewellery dealer of my acquaintance always has by him a slip of carborundum and applies it to anything that might be diamond. As he says, "I don't often find one, but when I do, it makes the added effort more than worthwhile". As a first step to weed out non-starters it is well worth the expense.

Hi Alan, do you mean a sheet of carborundum sandpaper?
