Gorgeous stones! I have a friend in Utah that is obsessed with Red Beryl.

Did someone say Red Beryl and Utah Topaz? What a fun day that was...

:D The big Beryl and all the Topaz is mine, and the smaller Beryl are my buddy's. He's got quite a bit. I have more Topaz from the most recent trip. But I'm lucky to live somewhat close to Topaz Mtn., where the Beryl can be found by the general public. My friend lives about 2 hours north of Topaz Mtn. So he goes all the time. :x

The mystery kitten is my sister's cat, Trinity. I caught her yawning one day, it's a famous picture in my family. :)

Back to the Beryl. The specimen I have is of the "wafer" type that are found on the western side of the "Ampitheater" at Topaz Mtn. The real nice specimens that Nicky posted usually come from the mines.
