Here is a very inexpensive scope. I would still prefer this to a loupe. If you remove it from the stand it will fit in your pocket. You can change mag by using different oculars but the scope itself is fixed mag.

Made in Japan back in the day. Surprisingly good views on the ones I have played with. One with three different pairs of oculars just went for $68. A bit more than I would like to pay. I think $30 or $40 is a good upper limit. But if you want one to carry in the field that you won't want to kill yourself when it gets submerged this would be a reasonable candidate.

Sold for 34.27 delivered. any one can afford a stereo.

Having been playing with Gene's version of this 'scope, I can say it is worth the price he quotes. Very easy to use and fun.

Of course the one I sent to Brian was made in Chermany.
The one that this one is a copy of.
But the ones I have seen were pretty good copies.

You don't have to start out with an M400.
Aren't you about due for an M400 Brian???

Ah hahaha. Maybe when my son develops an interest, due to your evil influences. Right now, though, he is saving his money primarily for Lego sets.
