It is with great sadness I'd like to announce Dr. Hanneman passed away on December 12, 2020. His legacy will live on forever!

Gene, I'll let you know when our chemistry dept wants to surplus their micro-balance... but probably it'll be a while, seeing as they purchased it only last year.

Oh, and since you are now in academia, you should format your question into a 50-page grant request, complete with documentation of your school environment, how the purchase will better mankind, and what kind of public outreach it will generate. Oh, and don't forget to explain what you are going to do with it, what the results will be when you actually use it, and where you will publish the results. Your chance of actually getting the grant are better than zero, but not much better. So you may have to make this request (with some changes in format) many times to several agencies.

Yeah, but imagine having a balance that can feel how far the moon is. Priceless! :)
