Hello everyone!
It’s such a pleasant moment for me discovering this terrific place.
I’m fortunate enough to have an opportunity of helping my friend to promote this incredible “Pigeon blood” red, uncut ruby. Its genuineness has been testified by a national gemology laboratory.
This extremely rare ruby was offered for 20million dollars from a casino owner in Macao, but the deal was turn downed by its owner. The owner thinks it worth much more.
Its 400 carats, “Pigeon Blood” red, with great clarity, 2 inches in length, 1.57 inches in width, and the maximum thickness is about 0.62 inches. It’s originated from Mogok, Burma.
I was thinking about three ways to promote this extraordinary ruby: 1. Museum exhibition 2. Journalism report 3. World class jewelry design contest
I would appreciate your true expertise for any advice that offered.

Call me a skeptic, but I'd love to see a copy of the "testament" of genuineness by the national gemological laboratory. Can you scan and post it please?
Sorry, perhaps it's the photo, but it looks like a molten lump of red glass.

dude define clarity in this picture!!!!
sorry. the scientist from the national laboratory can only testify its a natural "pigeon blood" red uncut ruby, but not its clarity.
but the top jewelers here defined it has great clarity, and transparency, with few inclusions.
well in the picture i dont see any transparency neither clarity!!!! its opaque and has appearance of a molten glass as far as i know the most expensive ruby ever sold is Alan Caplan Ruby in 1988 for $3630000 that's what i call Pigeon Blood and great clarity http://jewelry-blog.internetstones.com/ ... mogok-ruby

well, there is a big difference on clarity between a raw uncut one and a well polished one. this ruby was defined as almost transparent. only its right side was slightly polished, rest part was still wrapped by its natural old skin, as you can see.
i will post another amateur pic soon, later on i will have a professional photographer to take a better quality picture.

I'm inclined to agree with Ros on this. There is nothing in the image that gives me the impression it is of good faceting quality. And the talk regarding not being allowed to publish the content in the report... hmmmm. I would sure like to see a translation of the conclusion in the report.

Sorry Wave, I'm not sure what you wish to accomplish.
Most of our members are trained industry professionals.
You are not listening and responding to their comments but simply trying to convince us of your agenda based on a report which is not addressing gemological issues such as treatment and additional unsubstantiated hearsay. Therefore it is not terribly relevant in a gemological discussion.
Get your stone tested and identified by a Gemological Lab! The Gemological Institute of America has labs in Hong Kong, Mumbai and Bangkok, and AIGS in Thailand.
Once you have a GEMOLOGICAL report on your stone, come back and we will continue the discussion. With proper facts we can be of much more help to you.
