Hello!! I have an interesting item I need help identifying. I found it in a rock garden among many other types of smal glaciated stones much like river stones. I noticed it immediately as it was reflecting light like polished metal. It is very heavy almost like lead and appears to be two layers as the center has a seam all the way around. Its color is close to white or light yellow gold. It doesn't seem to have any rust or oxidation on it. One side is concave and the opposite side is "sunk in". The closest thing online I can find to this item is a tektite but no tektite I have seen looks metallic like mine does. They all look closer to coal and are almost all black. Does anyone have any clue what this could be? Would it be helpful to have a jeweler test it for gold content? I can provide more details and pics if need be. Thanks for any help!!!!!!

Could be also a "macaron", one of our most famous parisian delicacies.

Interesting. I don't think a good test is going to have any information. I would show to an collector of artifacts. I have seen grooved stones used for hobbles and sinlrrd by American Indians. I have also seen grooved stones that were tumbled to form off shapes. Let us know what you find out.
