I just got a bunch of jewelry made and wanted to post some pictures, because I am so excited.
This first is flowering tube onyx - I found the cab in a rock shop in Utah last year, and had a friend (Lenny) re-polish the stone and his wife set it in gold.

a morganite that came out of the half pound stone I bought in Tucson - this is about 18 carats

It is in pink gold. Color on my screen isn't nearly as pink as it is in person.

and the piece de resistance -- from Montana agate. i found these three stones at a rock show - had them repolished by my friend Lenny, and then set in a hand made chain by his wife, Deloris. I LOVE it!

The chain is hand made, as are (of course), the settings.

Here is a Koroit opal. Opal is really hard to photograph, and this doesn't show the rainbow sparkles this gives out but it is very nice - and about 2.5 inches in length. Bought it in the Spruce Pine show this year and had it set by Deloris

I like the Montana agate!

I like the design with the sapphires.

The setting of the Montana agates was a big surprise for me, but a VERY nice one. I tend to look for people whose jewelry I like, bring them my gems and ask them to be creative. For the sapphire flowers, I saw someone with a setting similar with 3 stones in it. I was looking for a way to set a bunch of the Montana sapphires we have found and had cut over the years. My wife is from Montana, so we tend to go there a lot. And being in Montana, it is hard to prevent me from going sapphire hunting. :-D
So we have..... let's say a few. And I can't convince my wife that a crown would be a nice thing to have. :-D Every one in that picture is a different color, though the picture doesn't really show it.

I too really like the Montana agate treatment. I have some similar material that will yield nice but small dendritic stones and you've given me ideas. The Koroit really looks like an eye-popper too. Nice going.

With all due respect albertora, the stones above are different....
If you are working with Ceylon sapphires and other gemstones, start a new thread, "Albertora's Ceylon Sapphires and Other Gemstones".

Looking forward to it. :D

Well, I do have some Yogo Sapphires, too. I will put them up against any other sapphires in the world. Unfortunately, I didn't find them. I bought them from someone who found them.
