Post subject:  What is this stone?

Hi, Can somebody tell me what is this stone?
color is orange to salmon color, not very dense, more like pastel.
Density and refraction are consistant with Hessonite, but conductivity tester doesn't show Garnet, it's rather at the level of Quartz...
Inside are quite a few white color crystals but more specifically most stones have a web of stings that look like nylon strings going in all directions, please see attached photo.
Density around 3.94
RI 1.732

These inclusions are a hessonite classic. Cobductivoty testers are useful for diamonds and have limited applications elsewhere--I would not trust one to distinguish grossular from quartz.

What causes those inclusions, Stephen?

I've seen pictures a few times--the first time was here but I haven't been able to find it again. This site describes them as apatite inclusions http://www.gemyes.com/ViewGemology.php? ... arnet.html but I think I've heard them described as calcite at some point in the past? I have yet to find any in any of my hessonites but I keep hoping!
