Keep us updated with the red zultanite...aka diaspore.
I don't believe I've ever seen red diaspore.

It is quite fresh, mining is mostly illegal(only 5 people are doing it) and we started about 6 months ago.

Its a new vein apparently,in the same region as old zultanite, about 4 5 km's away.

Total production isnt more than 3 kg's.

I got these 3 pieces from 2 crystals that a guy cut for me.Round and oblong is from the same crystal, and oval is from another.

Not a good picture but will give you an idea. Oblong changes color properly, round so so,oval not so much.

There is a chromium bearing variety ( thin blade like ) from Burma and Geir Atle Gussias ( Baldergems on Instagram) posted a video of a thicker crystal
from Vietnam...

Very nice ....

@ myrica

What about turkish demantoid/ topazolithe / andradite??

Coast to Coast offered years ago a very fine deep green stone - color like finest iranian material....

We have extremely good specimens of this stone.i just sent you guys 1 picture, dont go crazy with criticism now.
Only 5 people are mining this gem,we discovered it last 6 months, total production isnt more than 3 kg's or so.its a seperate vein from the original stone.

I will put some fantastic videos of some great speciments when i arrive to dubai and find out how to upload videos over here.

I got a couple little pieces on eBay with zones of this color. It shows a relatively strong red/green pleochroism in the (presumably) Cr-rich zones. Neat stuff. Not as red as the Mogok material though.
Side-note, treating pink and red as distinct colors is a bit of a peculiar things, not shared across time and cultures. Of course us constantly conflating pink and magenta (in the spectral sense, halfway between red and violet) doesn't help clear things up either.

so far everything you said is something else, in the picture there is no red, we never heard of red zultanite and your story about only 5 people mining is.... you sound like Hustlers.

Red diaspore is a known quantity. Small crystals have been produced from Burma for quite some time:
Image
Diaspore of varying degrees of red has been available from Turkey for at least a few months, prices have just been too high for me outside of the small samples mentioned above.

I just sold 9 ct to a thai jeweler for 75 USD per ct.
3 pieces from 5 ct to 1 ct cut stones.

Biggest rough ive seen was 28 ct.

Not a high price considering the cost of similar stones(if any similar stones exist)

i am sceptic about this! is there any research or papers from any gemological institute? is there any report from any reputable gemological laboratories?

About which one? The pictured Mogok material is well known and easily available (though I have yet to see any thick enough to facet), its existence isn't really in question. It's not surprising that similar material would eventually turn up in Turkey, though I haven't seen the new Turkish material in person. It will probably get written up in G&G at some point, but it's ultimately a fairly pedestrian variation on the already-available color shifting material, just generally better quality. Whether it's as red in person as the pictures show I can't say of course--goodness knows the original material's color change is almost universally exaggerated in photos. But the two samples of 'purple' material I got are visibly better than the common material.
