Hello
This is my first participation , l am interested in gem and precious stones , but I am beginner in this field so I need your help please.
The video and photos below are for a big opal stone which one of my friends sent it to me,and I want to know if it is a real opal stone or not , is it a rare Opal ore ? and how much it costs?
The Opal ore is brought from Ethiopia , its weight is about 3900 g.

That's one big opal ore if its real. I thought Ethiopia opal had a caramel colour to white.

Ethiopian opal comes in just about every natural color, not counting dyed stones.
This looks to be photographed wet. Ethiopia produces some very large and beautiful opals that have to be kept constantly wet or they will craze. This ome looks to already have some fracturing. Lovely, but not insanely valuable for that reason.

I wouldn't be sure, not much though. Something like 1usd/g or lower, since it's almost certainly just a specimen without gem potential. Valuations would vary anyway, and also be reliant on how it looks in person. Not something I'd want to invest in unless I had a mineral store whose clientele would be interested in buying a specimen that has to be displayed under water.
