Heres 2 terrible pics of the 9.4 mm Grandiderite I just finished. I noticed it is strongly, or is it weakly, dichroic, from green to yellow green.

Nice. If I remember correctly it is strongly trichroic, not dichroic.

Sorry for this question but is this really Grandidierite?

The color (green to yellow green) doesn’t speak for grandidierite which is bluishgreen to green blue and orthorhombic.

Maybe tourmaline?

Here are pics of all my rough, and also the second one cut. Tried to show the inclusions. Its 8.4mm, 2.5 ct.
Haven't had any trouble from the cleavage planes. Polishes very fast with 50k diamond.
Unlike anything I have cut before. Very easy to cut. Predictable.
Looks nothing like tourmaline. Several ebay sellers have this stuff now, probably from a new deposit recently found.
And yes, I sure wish it was blue.
Barb, when I break out my saw I will cut some small ones and send some your way.
A couple of the rough hold many very clear pieces, but need to be sliced apart.

Good idea to send some to Barbra to check what it is.

It's my pleasure.
Just a small piece should do. Flat surface...and you's be a saint if you polished that flat surface.
