Hi all,
My lovely grandfather passed away back in 2009 and I’ve had these pieces since then. Was told they may be jade although he was a bit of a lovable magpie, traveled for work throughout China, didn’t have much money, and had bits of all kinds of pebbles and other inexpensive stones, and after reading all the forum postings here re testing jade I realize humbly I’m without talent or equipment to verify their authenticity/treatment level on my own.
Would love an honest opinion at if these look like they could be worth something to be worth an appraiser’s time to look at, and if someone could be recommended (I live in SF).
In light of COVID I may be looking to sell (with the exception of the piece with the carved monkeys—I remember playing with this one even as a child). If these are authenticated, would anyone be able to recommend a reputable buyer?
Thank you!!
