sometimes you can not convince people its not worth to get report and sometimes vice-versa but this is not the case,

A client of mine insisted to get Report even he paid a lot of money because of shipping and insuring for the stone and in the end he returned it but paid for report expenses!

any way here is strange result about color graded by GIA (which caused costumer to return it).
Every one ( i mean diamond experts) even from Fancy GemeWizard we got Fancy light orangish brown which my the client wanted an orangish stone but GIA grade it as Fancy light Yellowish Brown!@@!##@!

judge it yourself, do you see yellowish or Orangy Brown in this stone?

for the record i dont like this stone at all but we dont say this to client right? ;)

just wanted to share this to GO ;)

the thing is according to GIA Fancy Diamond Color grading System this Hue "Yellowish Brown" does not exist in Light range!!!!!!

 I frankly think describing the color as fancy is all the compliment it deserves.
Seriously....trying to make this rose-cut desirable based on the modifying color ascribed in a lab report almost seems abusive to me.
Sorry if my opinion seems to harsh, but if the color I'm seeing on my monitor is accurate, the stone would be unsalable for me.

i did say that, its very undesirable color for me too, i made so much fun about it when they asked for report :?

i have got some other kind of opaque colored diamonds, heavily included and i really wonder if GIA categorized them as fancy too?
they look like moss agate with moss inclusions but colored!

have guys confronted such diamonds?

edited for the pictures:
they are exactly like diamonds in Todd Reed's jewelries, note the metallic luster and opaque transparency in these diamonds, here is the website http://www.toddreed.com/

here some picture,

check here:

all have comments:natural colored fancy cut diamonds / natural colored rose cut diamonds

you can see light passes through the right stone (the pear shape), check how strange the color banding are! and all of them have metallic luster

i did my research and FYI those unusual brown colors (which are like moss agate) are characteristics of a complex post formational history that includes fragmentation, resorption, irradiation, and thermal metamorphism.

in the GIA Report's Comments, it says:
"The color of this diamond is influenced by stains in fractures."

If they can call undesirable brown diamonds 'chocolate' and sell them....

What you have there is a rare 'Latte' diamond. :)
