In 2007 I heard about "life diamond" from my teacher in AIGS, Bangkok, Thailand. For a few moment I realized that he jokes with me but when he explain then I understood the fact.

Yes, they will accommodate pets as well.
I haven't read through all their site material, but it is my understanding that in order to retrieve adequate carbon from the remains, the company needs to process them.
Standard cremation does not leave enough carbon in the ash to make creating a diamond possible. Additional carbon has to be added.
Does anyone have current news on this?

there was an intensive discussion about this issue some years ago.
if i recall correctly, the debate was about actually those companies uses a veeery tiny quantitative of real ashes in the mixture which essentially is almost completely made of graphite...
