Quick question....I heard that DeBeers HQ is moving from Hatton Garden in London to Botswana this year...apart from being closer to the source of diamonds what are the main advantages in them moving?

De Beers and the government of Botswana made a sales agreement to move its rough diamond trading operation from London to Gaborone by the end of 2013. The new De Beers-Botswana agreement is unlikely to eliminate London’s rough trading and marketing infrastructure entirely, but London is likely to become a shadow of what it once was....as far as rough diamond distribution goes.

The arrangement will certainly benefit Botswana.
