The chamber of commerce I belong to is having their 50th anniversary this year. I was thinking that it would be pretty awesome to get each of the attendees a crappy, non-gem grade cheap pretty diamond rough, hopefully a few mm in size, then get a "decent" diamond from Stuller or similar for a random special "winner". Market the hell out of it, put my logo on the packaging, little write up on what a diamond is, etc... But.. I don't ever deal with diamonds so... I don't know where to get some crappy rough (2-300 pieces at least 3mm in size, hopefully more) at a cheap giveaway price ($100 to $200 ish). Looking at eBay, and see lots that look great, then read the description and "50 to 75 rough stones and you'll have a carat" Is there a better contact or way to get legal non-gem grade but pretty diamond rough at an affordable price, or am I just nuts? Thanks! Gjeret |

Manak usually has quite a few...I'm not sure of their prices as I've never been in the market for them. |

I'm sorry about that referral. I have always been pleased with their follow through in the past. |

Try the Diamond Council in Antwerp, I can't just lay my hands on the address or phone number (I'm not as neat, tidy and organised as Barbra), but you should be able to google it. I have always found them very helpful and they can usually find an English speaker at a moments notice. |
