In the renowned magazine Scientific Report they reported on their spectacular results and the long journey that has led to this success.

One remarkable aspect of their technique is that they can grow on a treated iridium surface to achieve single crystal diamond growth. Previously, specially oriented and polished diamond was required for homoepitaxial growth.
