I don't think you have to worry about any health risks unless you have an antique ring with one of the old green diamonds colored by radium salts. They would have been made about a hundred years ago. Modern technology leaves no residual problems.
Well I've read that actually method of bombing them with neutrons from nuclear reactor leave radioactivity.
On the other hand, saying people about irradiation they thinks "irradiation=chernobyl=cancer" although it isn't true in some types.
Where can I find this pretty colours? How to check if they stay on being radioactive?
