I don't know if this has been previously discussed, but I just found out by chance that I have a phosphorescent diamond (emitting visible light in darkness for minutes after it has been exposed to UV light). The diamond is very fluorescent too.
Is it current, rare, is there anything that can be deduced from this phenomenon ? Type, origin, whatever.

Thank you !
I have been investigating a bit further. As far as I understand, diamonds of type Ia might phosphoresce too (not only type II), provided they are 1ab (with nitrogen atoms aggregates). Given the brownish undertone of my diamond, this is probably the case.
