Hi, i bought a 4.95 cts black diamond, but im not shore if it's a diamond because the testing machine for moissanite isn't accurate when i test it for black diamonds... Is there any other way to know other than having to sen it to a laboratory???

Also, if the stone is loose, Specific Gravity would separate them.
Moissanite SG: 3.22
Diamond SG: 3.5 - 3.53

You should in most cases be able to separate them just by looking under a loupe. I suspect the link Barbra shared is the one I'm thinking of and will show you magnified images of both.

Ok, no, I just looked and it wasn't the article I was thinking of. This is the one I was thinking of.

Hmm, turns out I was wrong anyway, there's no image of the diamond in the article.

It´s not easy... I have a parcel with small black diamonds and when compared with them and the 4.95 cts stone they have different but also same characteristics. Thank´s for your answers

Most black diamonds are irradiated, not natural blacks. Hard, even with magnification to separate.

As I said, SG would be definitive.
Rig up a heavy liquid.
