she has collected several bags and is going to spin it into yarn. This is his undercoat and it is a very soft fur. Some of the hairs are 6 - 8 inches long, so it would be easy to spin.

Lovely dog...

I have an Italian Greyhound ( Marlow ) - coat is 4-5 mm long!!!

What did you find in the coat?? Gold, other animals or the bone in front?? :lol:

the bone is an antler collected in the local woods. He gets to chew on it wile we brush him. Some of his hair is 8 inches (40 cm) long.

There is a local fiber guild that does a lot of spinning. NExt week we are taking a sample to a friend whow may spin some of it as a test.
