Well, it looks like I get a strange Christmas present. One less ass hole.
I found a surgeon who has a opening and I will be getting my colostomy reversed. There are a few things that need to be checked. Here is the plan:
Dec 5th : have a Colonoscopy. This will be the easiest prep I have ever done. I have a big bag that I can attach and there are no trips to the bathroom.
Dec 7th : I have a meeting with the surgeon to review results and confirm that there are no problems
Dec 12th : I am scheduled for the surgery. I expect that I will be in the hospital for 8-10 days. I may be out of touch for a while. I will try to let you know how things go, but do not expect to hear from me until after the new year. Please keep me in your prayers.

I visited the Surgeon today. He is planning on laparoscopic surgery, so the recovery should be a little quicker than the first time around. If all goes will it could be as short as 3-5 days.

So surgery went well. The rest of this is probably in the realm of TMI. In the UK they have a term I always liked for a condition veins that get swollen, dilated and inflamed they call them piles. Since the surgery my piles have become small hills. Part of the problem is that the section of the colen that stores material has been removed, it is the part that ruptured, and the new section still wants to pass things on. I have to wait a while before I start retraining my rear end that it will not win this argument. At least for now, the risk of a separation at the join is too high, so I have to let things flow as they may. BUT in a month I am going to start to have a serious discussion with my new ass. I did find a unique relief the other day. The Aroura was out and I took my wife up to the top of Hatchers Pass to watch it. While there, I lost the argument with my new ass, and had to use the out house that the park service is nice enough to provide. AT -5 it was actually a relief to sit in the outhouse and get some relief. At least for a few minutes. I am putting a link to the GIF up as soon as I load it onto IMGUR
I hope to get to some faceting soon..... but it will still be a while before things get back to normal here.
