Here is a new video of Victoria Raynaud, one of the youngest master cutters in the world, telling the story of how she did her Gemcutting apprenticeship in Geneva at age 14, then moved to Bangkok at 21 to work at GIA, then started her own cutting company. Enjoy!

justinkprim,

Absolutely fascinating to see her journey and the stones she's cut. Thanks so much for posting this and can't wait to see what else you can dig up.

I believe that Victoria is Justin's Wife. She is a very good gem cutter.

Steve,

She's definitely good from what I can (in my inexperience), see. Also, the vertical faceting machine was a complete surprise to me. I've never heard nor seen one like that and wonder what the pros and cons of vertical vs horizontal are. However, like I've been told so many times "it's not the machine, it's the skill of the cutter".

Thanks again Justin and great to hear from you Steve, all the best;

Steve, Justin,

Thanks for the link and now having a blast walking through the videos on the machine types. This is fun :)
