Hey folks! As per Gem Ranger's request, I've started a thread where people can post asking for custom GemCAD designs. If you'reresponding with a design, please be aware that by posting, that design will be free for anyone on here to use, and may be opted to the Gemology Project.
Please keep everything visible. That means no PMs. If you have a request, please start your post off with a giant number, in increasing order, so that if people post designs after additional requests have come in, we have an easy way to keep track.
If you're asking for a design based off a piece of rough, please include at least 3 pictures of the rough from totally different views (preferably all perpendicular to each other), the type of material, dimensions, a table view, and info on the desired shape/outline/LW ratio/etc. The design will be property of its author, not the poster who posted the request.
If you'd like a GemCAD design based on a a drawing, just post the drawing here, with any other info you want to provide. The design should have the GemCAD user listed as the primary author, with the original poster listed second.
If you just want a one-off design...well I don't know what all information you'd want to include, but include it

Hi Christa,
I had a go at your request. Attached is a picture of the one I designed and ran through Gemray compared to the picture you supplied. It holds up ok. I designed the stone based on further images found online where the pavilion of the stone terminates in a culet. This makes it an accurate representation of the stone requested. Unfortunately in larger sizes the pointed pavilion would make the stone impractical to wear as a pendant, however in smaller sizes, perhaps mounted in a gold setting, it would be a good compromise between design and practicality. As its a basic design, not really optimised for brilliance and scintillation, I selected CZ as the preferred cutting material which should boost the performance of the stone. After running it through Gemray and tweaking the angles it tests at 60% so it should perform ok. If you or anyone else has a go at cutting it, please post up a pic

Looks very nice, Arya!
Will this design be posted on The Gemology Project?
In view of the pony/horsey theme, I thought it might be even more popular with a shallower pavilion and a frosted horse design in the pavilion, like the 'Sarah's Horse' design by Dr Bill (and others)!

I'm sure I have seen a horse head so it might be easier to take the horse head and change it to a cow's head, Brown Swiss. I'm thinking about doing it in Citrine or light Smokey Quartz. Would like a PDF file also because Im not getting photo of the views in GemCad.
