so im making an obsidian pendant and i have the silver filigree for it down but its a rather large piece and i would like to polish it to a mirror shine but the farthest ive gotten is reflecting some light so that only a basic visage can be seen.
i worked my way past 8000 grit sand paper but i dont know what polish or anything to use to give it that final shine, any ideas?
Are we talking of polishing the silver or the obsidian? If the obsidian the alumina is a good suggestion, but remember that obsidian is basically a crystallized glass, with all the problems that implies. If the silver, rouge on a soft bristle brush will bring it up beautifully.
