Hello,

New to the hobby and picked up a V2. Only issue is that the speed control does not work. It runs fine forward and reverse but not with the adjustable speed. I have searched a little but haven't found much in the way of replacements or other options that may exist. So if anybody has suggestions I would love to hear them.

Thanks!

I purchased a 90vdc speed controller in a water-resistant aluminum chassis that is connected to my V2. Much better quality and more features compared to the OEM part from UT.

I FRIED MY CONTROLLER WHEN I WS WORKING ON IT.

The controller is pretty simple, a bridge rectifier (4 diodes) a SCR and a pot.

I replaced a few of the diods, and the scr, and got it back working.

but a complete 90 volt controller would work pretty easily. you may need a seperate bridge rectifier to feed the controller. Some of them have it built in.

My controller is PWM. Quieter and will not weaken the magnets in the dc motor.

Thanks for the help. There seem to be a lot of options out there, any chance you have a link for what you used?

The name of the manufacturer is:
KB Electronics, Inc.
Coral Springs, Florida

The name of the model is Penta-Drive. I purchased it with a water-resistant chassis.
