Hi
I have an imahashi clone. Locally made. But it doesn't have speed control. I want to add it to my machine.
Adding a regulator will do the job?
Can you suggest any?

Is the motor on the machine AC or DC?

I adapted a sewing machine motor. Can be found on Alibaba for around 50 $ US plus shipping and taxes. has a lot of torque and offers speed 200 to 4.000 rpm.

Depending on exactly what type of AC motor your machine has, this unit might work:

No statement of motor type, just input, output and speed specifications.

"The KBWC Series provides infinitely variable speed motor control for shaded pole, permanent split capacitor and universal (AC/DC) motors."

I suppose you could contact the manufacturer or distributor and ask them for more data.

We don't know because you have not found out what kind of AC motor you have.

I believe the question sill unanswered is, AC or DC type motor. The info on the motor plate doesn't state the type.

No, that question is answered on the plate in the picture. Single phase induction motor.

Find a motor distributor in your country and look at their online catalog.
