I want to share with you something interesting I came by with. this s machine is made In vietnam, by Nguyen Viet. cnc machining with japanese parts. it is build as a budget machine, for starters,or for people on a tight budget,so of course you cannot expect the same quality build and finish as the good Us made machines. the body made from cheap aluminium, the motor is not that strong (I dont have the exact data sheet but you can get all the information from him) But, its is seems a bit different from the low quality machines you normally see from indonesia or india,at least the ones I came across with. it have a dial indicator that comes with it which is very good. *vertical and radial cheater *micro height adjustment in mm *6mm keyed dops machine comes with all the basic accessories: drip tank, aluminium splash pan, master lap, table adapter, transfer jig,set of 12 dops (3-5-8-10mm cone flat and v) 96 index gear (can order any index or dops sizes you want for an extra charge) I saw this machine on video, and it seems functioned as should. it is priced at 590usd +shipping worldwide. I dunno if it will hold for 40-50 years like the expensive machines we all know,I am almost positive that it will not, but in an age that everything is made cheap and supposed to serve a purpose for a while... at least as a hobby, for most cutters, I am asking myself if really need more than that?

If all of those silver things are machine screws instead of rivets it doesn't seem like a bad machine at all. Not having a protractor hurts but if it can be calibrated the same way Gemmastas can I don't see too many issues.
What's the downside of aluminium? Not rigid enough? It sounds like it's built for small stones.

I'm not familiar with the calibration of the Gemmastas, but it looks like this machine has a small digital protractor on it. Assuming this is somewhat repeatable, the only thing needed for "calibration" would be a hard stop set at a known height to set "0"

Just to update you guys about this guy. Apparently he is a scammer. I sent him money for a faceting machine, about $1200 and he never sent me machine nor refund. Then i found out about different Facebook groups where he scammed a number of people. He asks for the payment directly to his bank account.
Please be careful dealing with him. For a peraon in Pakistan its a big amount and it took me a lot of months to gather this amount. Don't send him any money.

WOW. Sorry this happened to you Mega. I would be gutted and my words would be full of expletives forever and a day in relation to this.
Maybe this is worth a mention in the Scammers thread?
