I have a small watermelon tourmaline that either needs the inclusions cut or hidden and I was wondering like how other people decide what to do? If I cut out the inclusions I'll have like half a stone and lose a lot of the middle green color. Is there a good cut to hide center inclusions for this shape? Thanks!!
The inclusions are the black specs and they are right in the middle both ways, there is also a bit of cloudiness but I think it's ok.

Well that is a bit of conundrum with this specimen isn't it. Honestly your not going to hide anything here IMHO. Pavilion facets are going to reflect them, and more than likely make it look like more than there is. If it were mine and based on all the dimension considerations it would be just cut it as one stone and like it for the inclusions, or not cut it at all. Can not offer any reasonable advice on cutting it into smaller cleaner stones based on a pic.

Ok, I'll give it a shot from the best angle and see what happens. I want to try the opposed bar so this is a good test stone at least. Thanks!
