Which extender, oil or water based, do you prefer for polishing with Gearloose's Pandimonium sticks? Does your choice depend on the specific polishing lap being used? Or does it depend on the material you are polishing? Other considerations?
Hopefully I can get my polishing laps resurfaced and make a fresh start in the not too distant future so I am looking for opinions, advice and practical suggestions before a new round of "learning experiences."

Only use a PAN 60k stick with wd40/water on the Zinc+/BA5T, same as with a Dominatrix™. Truth be told I only have a 60k stick, so still using the water based polycrystalline sticks from Gearloose of the past or diamond powder. When I do use the 60k PAN with garnet and tourmaline I find water works best for me and the lap choice, most everything else is wd40. Not a big quartz cutter so the 60k PAN never enters the mix when I do.
