I'll be honest, I think his idea of calling jadeite 'fei cui' is silly. It's not like mineral series are a new concept in gemology or geology, and nobody suggested a name change when someone realized most turquoise is planerite.

As a Chinese, I think I know more about jade. Friends who like jade can also communicate with me. Jade is called "玉(yu)" or "翡翠(feicui)" in Chinese, and the ones we wholesale are extremely common and not rare. In view of the Chinese market and culture, the jade commonly mentioned by the Chinese population only comes from two origins: 1. Jade from Myanmar (green, purple, blue, red...), generally called "翡翠(feicui)" 2. Hetian jade from Xinjiang, China (green, purple, blue, red...), generally called "玉(yu)" Jade has been used by the Chinese royal family for more than 8,000 years. It has been polished and carved into exquisite jade vessels. There are many exquisite jade antiques in China and even in museums around the world. The jade we wholesale, although of good quality, can only be regarded as a very common and common material.
