It is with great sadness I'd like to announce Dr. Hanneman passed away on December 12, 2020. His legacy will live on forever!

If you would like to read something similar, there is a book out by Michael Ray Taylor called Dark Life. If I remember correctly, It discusses potential forms of life that produce minerals and rocks under extreme conditions like hot springs (Travertine) as well as some controversial concepts like nanobacteria etc. This book was published in 1999, but other similar books have been published as well. It is an interesting read in the very least.

ISBN-10: 0684841916

ISBN 13: 978-0684841915

I also would like to see the original article.

Thanks
