My wife Angelina was almost shot by 9mm hand gun this night in our house on Mountain st. south, Morden. A guy in the house one house away from us discharged his hand gun in his house, bullet went through our neigbors house and than through our garage window and than through our house wall and got stuck in the bath tab while my wife was going out of shover. he missed just 10-15cm. Thanks god she is allive.

Police just left. I will go to court against him, i want him to be prohibited to own guns for all his life. And i need him to pay for damages. there is a hole in the bath tub, and pollice will dissasemble wall to get bullet out they need it.

Best Regards,
Timur Sharaborov

The only good news here is that no one was hurt, and we do not have a monopoly on idiots.

Aaron,

I understand your anger and frustration here, but you are over reacting.
The only thing that should be banned is idiots!
A firearm is an inanimate object... If you do nothing with it, it will never hurt anyone.
If you do something stupid with it (like this guy did), then, yes bad things can happen, and he should be answerable for it.
If you use it to defend yourself, you can protect yourself and your family.
For the record, I have had to pull a firearm twice in my life: The first time was to effect a felony arrest, where the perpetrator had just shot a woman in the back of the head with a high powered air gun while she was on the church steps talking to the pastor after services.
The second time, I had stopped at an intersection in a city, and four inner city youths jumped out of their vehicle and started coming towards me.
Fortunately, I never had to fire a shot.
I've been in situations other than this where people would have seriously injured or killed me if it weren't for the fact they knew I was armed.
I hope I never have to fire a firearm in self defense.
A very true saying is "when seconds count, the police are minutes away".
Where I live, it may be a half hour before the police can show up, even if it is a dire emergency.
The only person responsible for my own safety is ME, and the best way I can defend myself is to be armed.
At any point, I am offended when someone wants to ban firearms. Doubly so in absolutely crazy times like we are experiencing here, with rioters running amok. If you don't want to own firearms, that's your personal decision.
Glad that you and your wife are OK...

-Tom

X2 tom.....deal with the isiot the same way you deal with a drunk behind the wheel...you dont react to this by bans on cars ,wheels or engines ...bannig guns amo and magazines for that is the same thing
A government powerful enough to take away your means of self defense wont stop there...soon speech, protest and non compliance of all types will become a capital offense

Stairman if you are stating that the same requirements for owning and operating a car should be applied to gun ownership, then I'm in agreement with you 100 per cent.
Banning gun ownership is not going to happen, but there is no reason why insurance, proof of basic ownership skills, and licensing should not be required. The combination of human frailties and guns is just as deadly as that for humans and vehicles. That's why Wyatt Earp required cowboys to check their guns when they came into town, and very few of the Founding Fathers owned guns.

Tom,

I agree with you assessment that people that possess firearms should be knowledgeable and fully aware of safety, but licensing... no... This is a RIGHT in this country. If you license and regulate it, then it is no longer a right but becomes a privilege eventually handed down to only a few.
If it boils down to a privilege or a right, I'd rather see things entire unregulated than restricted.
