The test is not really telling anything, but many pages of text and interview...

After reading your 2 reviews, I went directly to the article.
I totally agree with your take on it.

Gemmology Today should have, at the very least, included an independent pier review of the product to verify claims made. Why didn't the interviewer ask questions about testing and reliability.

Presenting an interview like this in what is purported to be a scholarly trade periodical is questionable at best. The article has no solid information a gemologist could use when deciding if this instrument could benefit them.
