Hello,

For you what are the rarest crystals or gems that you dream to have in your collection?

Hi Barbra,
The bigest Hauyne I have never had (and sold) was a 1.20 ct perfectly clean and diamond cut. I jave set it wit a diamond in the same size.
Huge!

Hi Cassecailloux,
We can say that Johachidolite is rare, but not so difficult to supply presently.

Clinohumite, 1.12ct, the Taymyr region of northern Siberia

Most truly rare stones seem to be more about rarity than beauty, so I'm going to have to go with hyune as well. Now there's a blue to drool over.

thanks to everybody for these first answers.
I am agreeing with the fact that your feeling is first going to the beauty, not only the rarety for science.
But we can co;promize...

I spoke with a vendor for faceted pallasite peridot in Tucson.
One had to contractually agree to several stipulations regarding the resale of the extraterrestrial gem before they would allow a private party to buy a sample.
:?
I asked, "What if I buy one and die?"
I was told my heirs should be directed to contact them for instructions on allowable avenues for liquidation.

WOW.

I'd venture to say when that meteorite entered our atmosphere it wasn't looking for an "exclusive".

PS I think all of Xtreme1's examples are rare and VERY beautiful.

Okay, I'd take one of those :D Or a cab....might almost rather have the cab, with the peridot in matrix. That wouldn't actually be too hard to arrange.

That's hilarious about the buyer requirements!
