Hi Barbra, The bigest Hauyne I have never had (and sold) was a 1.20 ct perfectly clean and diamond cut. I jave set it wit a diamond in the same size. Huge!
Hi Cassecailloux, We can say that Johachidolite is rare, but not so difficult to supply presently.

I agree with ms. B hauyne that has some size..nothing beats the blue of a hauyne..should i even go so far as to say not even the best sapphires can beat the hauyne blue

I spoke with a vendor for faceted pallasite peridot in Tucson. One had to contractually agree to several stipulations regarding the resale of the extraterrestrial gem before they would allow a private party to buy a sample.
I asked, "What if I buy one and die?" I was told my heirs should be directed to contact them for instructions on allowable avenues for liquidation.
WOW.
I'd venture to say when that meteorite entered our atmosphere it wasn't looking for an "exclusive".
PS I think all of Xtreme1's examples are rare and VERY beautiful.
