CherryPicked is proud to present a gem from the family of the rarest of all diamonds - the natural fancy deep blue variety. This is not a gem whose color you can confuse with the more tepid blue diamond colors. When the GIA calls it DEEP blue - they mean deep. Diamonds of the “deep” blue persuasion are considered to be the purist blue of all by haute collectors. This gem is accompanied by a 21 page in-depth report from Stephen C. Hofer, colored diamond maven. Mr. Hofer - whose report often cross references his examination and comparison of this diamond with the acclaimed “Hope Diamond” (which Hofer has examined at length) - is duly impressed with the gem in nearly every aspect. The gem’s shape is quite impressive considering the task of finding a well proportioned heartshape. The gem is lively and flashes of rich deep blue are evident when the gem is put into motion. A gem of this quality comes by so seldom one would be hard pressed to compare. Knowledge of this gem is indeed a privilege for all concerned. Highly important in it’s size and quality range.

Certificate Type: GRS
Here’s a bright cheerful natural Burma Ruby we find most pleasing. It’s beautifully shaped cushion shaped face up appearance highlights a vivid candy red color with a hint of orangy pink fire. The gems lively brilliance is a perfect foil in hiding some of the inclusions that would be even more evident in a gem less lively. The gems’ internal characteristics show activity on the table area that is hard to see without a loupe precisely because of the gems radiant qualities. There is a significant natural found on the backside that reaches 3-4 mm within the gem - almost a slice so to speak - though it does not detract significantly to the face up appearance of the gem. The rarity of finding bright lively, mostly crystalline natural unheated Burmese Ruby over 5 carats is well documented. This particular specimen will find it’s best advantage when mounted thereby providing an appropriate showcase for it’s candy red vivid color. a rare and valuable Ruby, indeed.

The rating system on Cherry is quite interesting... especially if you try it out diligently across gem species :) It isn't easy to put up such a thing!

Now, returning to gem of the day thing, gotta confess this one. Costs about as much as a grain of dust on the previous ruby, but... the interesting shape turned eye catcher and brought it on the list. Why are interesting step cut shapes so infrequently used?

An interesting zircon cut from Unicorngems

Clearly, the picture is flattering:

The same address carries some remarcable Aussie sapphire, parti, pink and one they call pad-like and gets priced accordingly. Judge for yourself: LINK. Pad or no pad, the pictures do transmit some 'wow' factor.

Here is a pink diamond that is actually pink! Not such a light tone & saturation that it is hard to tell.

Faceted Natural Fancy Deep Pink Colored Diamond
Weight: .75 carats
Shape: princess cut
Size: 5.16 x 5.01 x 3.56 mm
Price: $63,262.00

Tone 4.7

Pedigree 5

Rarity 4.5

If you’ve dreamed about owning a super rare “fancy deep” pink diamond, your dream can now come true. Feast your eyes on this ready to wear treasure mounted in a handmade platinum unisex ring. The gems color is mesmerizing. It’s highly desirable squarish princess cut shape shimmers in crystalline brilliance. While the gem’s clarity is considered I1, it’s really closer to an SI as the inclusion that is found reflecting off of a facet at 11 o’clock does not detract significantly from this gem’s natural beauty. Otherwise most of the activity is found off of the table and can only be seen with a loupe. A rare find in the world of colored diamonds.

This picture probably does not come close to doing this large parti-color tourmaline justice. I have a six carat cushion at home (from the same vendor) & these stones really love the sun light! Interesting gems that are colored by bismuth (spelling).

Sorry MoDo, that pink Diamond doesn't do it for me. I would pay about $20.00 for it based on beauty.

Weight: 2.71 carats
Shape: emerald cut
Size: 8.13 x 7.84 x 6.63 mm
Price: $55,690.00

natural emerald with no clarity enhancement like this is a seldom seen gem. this gems vivid kelly green color is rich and intense but never dark and blackish. very clean for an emerald, the gem has moderate inclusions within though this does not significantly detract from this gems more obvious assets. one can’t help but admire this gems beautifully executed elegant squarish emerald cut shape. this shimmering crystalline emerald is in a class all by itself.

Here is a spinel in an amazing color! This stone is probably a tad sleepy, giving it a dream like velvety appearence. Hence the slighty to moderately included description.
