One more quiz for inclusions fans.
My first "mysterious inclusions" quiz was solved in one day, hope this one will still alive a little bit longer! :)
You have to identify the inclusions, the host mineral and the country of origin for this stone.

Okay ... I say it was Professor Plum in the library ... oh, wait ... wrong game 8) .

I'll take a wild guess and say rutile needles in quartz from Switzerland. :-k

Whatever it is it sure is pretty :D

Good guess, you are going right way with quartz, but it was the simplest part of the game!

Rutile - no! It's not so common inclusion!
Switzerland - no! Think about warmer countries!

Awesome photos - very cool specimin!
Here is my best guess after doing some checking:
Is it a Starburst of Hollandite inclusion found in a "SpiderQuartz" from Madagascar???
Thanks so much for posting.

Thanks for trying Katy!
Hollandite inclusions were used in my previous quiz, so in this case it's something different!

Hint: you won't find it in the Photoatlas, it's quite a new material, but in this forum these inclusions were mentioned at least in one thread!

How about a starburst of iron compound - Citrine from Brazil... But, you did say that it can't be found in the photoatlas... So, alas, this is probably wrong. Still fun trying! :)

My last guess was going to be Actinolite too. Hopefully, Osman and I got it right this time!

No, no, no!...
Thanks for all your guesses, but we haven' t got the right answer yet!
It's not such a common mineral as proposed ones.

Ok, two photos more of the same material and the last hint, if we still have no answer I'll say what's it soon.

Hint: The mineral is Ba, Ti, V and Cr oxide!
