I just finished the drawings for a pair of earrings, when I went online to price the stones for it *cringe* I got a shock like you would not believe.
First, I had decided that Aquamarine would look nice.
Then I figured that Loup clean stones with Vslgb 3/3 colour would sparkle.
Well the 10 stones it would take to complete the ear rings are only going to cost me about $2,000 CAD.
Since I live in "lunch bucket city" there is no way I can get even the "cost of manufacturing " back out of them let alone the, at minimum, $4,000 they should sell for.
Curiosity makes me ask, anybody else had a project hit them with a bucket of cold water like that?
Thanks
