Never have, first time I've heard of them, but I didn't see any pictures of their stones when I followed your link. I've tried buying stones before just on descritpion (their descriptions are very vague), & though I kept a couple of stones, they were always different than what I imagined. I won't buy a stone on just description anymore. I perfer a picture (picture are not always correct, but...) & a detailed description such as a GIA Gem Set Color chart. Which gives you tone, saturation, primary & secondary hues. The combination of the two always is a great benifit. :)

Hi Red Spinel:

After looking at the Aquamarine descriptions I was bothered by the fact that all there stones were "medium blue" medium blue 3/3, 2/3, 3/1 *shrug* not very helpful. I was interested in their diamonds the description seems to be GIA, but it looked like their colour covered 3 grades at least. if the stones were a mix of all three grades, well you could live with that, but if shipment was consitently at the lowest colour grade then they get pretty expensive pretty fast.

The person who told me about them hasn't dealt with them (he goes to Antwerp once a year to buy his).

Anyway was hoping soem one on the forum had dealt with them and could tell us what the experience was like

Thanks

Hi Wolf,
I had not heard of ErosGems before. I personally don't like descriptions without photos. And I don't like use of the antiquated terms "semi-precious" and "precious". They can be misleading, as crap and fine quality can freely cross those imaginary borders.

Just my initial reactions to visiting their site.
Hope that is helpful-Carrie
