Hi! I moved to North Carolina 3 years ago and last summer finally made trip to mountains, should I mention we stop at the mine? Well, Now I have my faceting machine and several buckets of rough (maybe good for tumbling ) wish I found this forum earlier!
*heaves sigh of relief* *takes off bloody uncomfortable collar* *puts the garlic in the stew* *hangs the cross back on the wall* Nice stone .. what might it be?

This is 14 mm syntetic ruby (corrundum) 10.5ct cut in Jeff's R Graham Easy Does It design, prepolished and polished on Dark & Light lap 3K/60K Diasticks , (I'm a beginner, and this was the only polishing lap which worked for me)

Thank you! Had to cut table bigger to get rid of inclusion in the rough, so far best result I have. Now planning to cut some natural stones, but most likely will start with synthetic quartz.
