I've never seen a violet/pink zircon before in such a pure tone. Has anyone else?

Nope, but the doubling of the facets indicates a super high birefringence.

Do you have any more info on the material? Source? Treatment?

Barbra, this gem is from Rathnapura, Sri Lanka. Probably heated.

That is a very nice color for a zircon, and a great picture showing the doubling imaging.

HI to everybody, hi Jason!
Oh yes, a zircon may also be pink/violet (the same colour as kunzite, so that you all know what I mean!). Like every allochromatic material, it may exist in any colour you can imagine and no two crystals are the same colour!
Greetings from Italy :smt002 by Riccardo.
