Sorry Gem,

No. Besides the photos aren't the way to go. The Gemstone Separator is the proper tool for this assignment. Using the Separator it took me slighly over 5 minutes to run all the data and come up with answers for each gem. Granted I had all the data on one piece of paper but it shows how quickly (even if it took slighly longer in the real world) GT Pro can work for you.

Sigh... I guess my humor didn't come across. Obviously the separator is the way to go. My joke about the pictures was since the relevant data was on the same page as the pictures, I wouldn't have ANY information to go on... guessing blind as it were. Anyway, I wasn't serious. I'd better brush up on my humor. :(

Sorry again, Gem. At the point you made your joke I was overwhelmed trying to get answers out in a timely manner. Completely missed your jest.

WOW!!! This is a really nice program! The pictures are fantastic!
My 4 year old (the budding rockhound) wanted to play with it and made up a new game he calls Diamond Store. I would pull up a picture of a gem or mineral on the screen and he would search our collection for a stone that matched it, if he could pronounce it I would "buy it" from him...you should hear him try to say "grossularite garnet"

The program is so easy to use, he actually opened it and started looking through it himself when I was making dinner.

Thanks again Bill for putting on the Quiz and the fantastic prize!!!
