Hi every body , I came across stone I would be very happy if any one can help me in bead - Blue – Opaque
R.I. 1.52
S.G. 2.00
Hardness is less than 3
U.V. Greenish white in both L.W & S.W.

AFAICS, there is no 'runner' that fits your criteria as given. If you did an air/water weighing and still have the stone, I guess it ain't Gaylussite :lol:

What would you think about Meerschaum? How blue is that blue?

It's probably a kind of artificial product, with plastic in it. Try the "hot needle" test.

You've got a rock, haven't you? Which is why your observations don't tie up well. Chrysocolla-based mixes are common and the blue bits look right for Chrysocolla. that's my best 2p-worth anyway :)

Looks like either the composite stuff coming out of China or the impregnated material coming out of China. Using copper sulfate and the like to color them from what I have gathered. Been examining a lot of this stuff in beads and cabs. Yours looks more like the impregnated and dyed natural stuff, but really not a call that can be made for sure from pictures, sorry. The composite stuff is quite well faked in some instances.
