llb diamonds are almost or entirely devoid of impurities, and consequently are usually colourless and have the highest thermal conductivity.

Type IIb diamonds usually contain boron, and are commonly blue or blue/gray.
Colorless type IIb are quite unusual as I understand it.

The type IIb either natural or synthetic, are bluish, blue or bluish grey in their original state. Natural type IIb diamonds may have received lattice crystal damage, leading to a brown secondary color or colorless/near colorless. the lattice defects can be restored by a HPHT treatment, but no one can predict what color it gets after the treatment, also Flawless clarity is very suitable for HPHT color treatment but in this case the D color itself is pleasant and rare , maybe future owner of this stone someday wish to do HPHT to restore the Blue, i wouldn't do it but some one might!

I'm not sure I agree with many of the points here.

While we are on the topic of unusual D Flawless Diamonds, have you seen the description of the Type IIa, D Flawless, 33+ CARAT, coming up for auction at Sotheby?
Known as: "The Light or Star of Golconda”"
This is worth a click!

Yes. The photos In the G&G Gem Brief are better than the ones I posted as well.
I was interested to also read about the diamond's thermoluminescence. We couldn't test for that at the shop.

Is there a way to see the G&G Gem Brief without being a G&G subscriber? [wants to see the pretty pictures]
