Is a spectroscope able to determinate rough diamond's color?

I was just wondering if by using a spectroscope, one can determinate
what would be the color of a rough diamond before polished.

Of course I am speaking of diamonds with an overburden.

spectroscope is used for diamond rough to determine the stress and strain so cutter will be careful in cutting procedure, thats all! determining the color by spectroscope is impossible.

The thing is that I know there is a tool that allows you to analyze rough diamonds
and determinate the color the polished diamond will have.

Maybe it is a spectograph not a spectroscope?

well from most of the manufacturer i know they can judge the color of the rough by opening a window, sometime if the rough is glassy they can determine without window.

Small correction, one uses a polariscope to see the strain or tension in a rough stone, not a spectroscope;

I have no idea if this thing really works as described. I'll leave that to the diamond experts here. I have a difficult enough time determining top colors in cut diamonds!

no hard filling mate

although colorimeter is for rough i wonder if it works with polished too, specially that it can detect type IIB / IIA diamonds & coated ones!
also fancy yellow even brown tint in the D-F color range! as it claim!!!
