Nice new cuts Arya, and also cool names!
I imagine a scene in a high level jewelry store:

Client: I love gems with original cut designs! Do you have something new?

Salesman: Oh, yes, just received this new collection of fabulous stones, faceted after designs by Arya Akhavan, famous gemstone artist!

Client: Awesome, they are so beautiful! What’s the name of this cut?

Salesman: Well… The name is “Buyer’s Remorse”, we guarantee that you won’t be satisfied with this purchase!

Client: Interesting! And that one?

Salesman: Wonderful choice! The name is “Procrastinator”, stones with this design have special power to make you waste your time!

Client: Really? And what about that green stone? It looks so nice!

Salesman: Yes, it’s peridot and the name of the cut is “Wanna Fanta!”

Client: Curious! These new wave artists are crazy people! Tell me about that one.

Salesman: Oh, it’s the best stone of all collection. Fantastic red tourmaline, 3.5 carats, only $1200. And the name of the cut is “Special design to re-cut cheap crappy stones from flebay”…

Client: They all are so beautiful, but I love also the original names! I’ll take them all!..

:D :D :D

Oh no! You've discovered my secret, dastardly endgame!

But yeah, more designs to come. I have two exams this week, so there'll be a LOT of procrastinating and writing diagrams instead of studying.

New on the GP: image links...

Using:

[[File:designpic.jpg|center|thumb|link=Designer - Design|[[Designer - Design]]]]

On the overview page will result in an image link leading to the design. The image link thing was missing from the GP version at the time of writing the tutorial but since the last update it became a possibility...

I'll update the existing code.

Tim, this makes MUCH more sense, well done! =D>

I always wondered why I had to click on the title of a design to open it - the intuitive method would be to click on the picture. If people want a larger version of the picture they can just click on the "Enlarge" button in the bottom right corner. I'll update all of mine over the weekend, thanks.

How exactly would a faceting design contest work?

We set a date, gather some prizes and hope it motivates faceters from around the world to submit new designs. We then open a poll here and pick the winner(s) on grounds of originality or general awesomeness. :D

I'll throw in some rough...

Well, if you want to have the contest over the weeks of Sept 17 and 24, I have a two week break from med school classes where I'll I'm doing is shadowing, so I'm sure I could churn out an interesting design every day :D
